Navy Passport Cover | Fabric Passport Holder

This ethnic style passport cover is re-purposed vintage batik fabric from a Hmong jacket. The reverse side is hand woven natural hemp. It includes 2 main compartments for keeping up to 2 passports and 2 small divided sub-compartments for putting cards or money. Fabric applications is a typical decorative style of Hmong people with meticulous and detailed skill as artisans.

Batik Tribal Techniques:
- The pattern is drawn by hands with beeswax.
- The cloth is then dyed several times using indigo extracts until it reaches the dark blue color.
- Hot water was used to dissolve the beeswax, showing the pattern in white, as seen on the photos.
